On Sunday, May 20, CODE Meee had the honor of creating an original aroma for the completion preview screening of the film "The Forest of Wool and Steel," held at Iino Hall in Tokyo.

The beautiful scenery, sound, and scent of the film captivated the audience at the wonderful preview screening. We created a scent themed around the "scent of the forest," which also appears in the original work, and provided a sensory experience for the attendees.

The aroma features a refreshing forest scent with notes of Akaezomatsu, a representative tree of Hokkaido.

Akaezomatsu, a species of spruce used for piano soundboards, is said to have been called the "Goddess' Tree" by the Ainu people due to its beautiful tree shape.

The "scent of the forest" in the film may be that of Akaezomatsu. We participated in creating the original aroma with the hope that people could enjoy the world of the film through their sense of smell while feeling the atmosphere of the vast nature of Hokkaido.

The event included greetings from the director and cast, as well as a piano performance by Nobuyuki Tsujii, creating a wonderful atmosphere.

Many people were seen enjoying the aroma, and the completion preview screening was a wonderful experience that sharpened the senses.
